LAURENT
MAUR (Chromatic Harmonica)
Born in Paris in 1970, Laurent begins playing at 17 in various blues and rock groups (Peter Kingsbury, Mighty Sam Mac Laine, Adrian Burns). At 22 he discovers jazz music and chooses to follow this unexplored path.
In 1994 he studies at Paris' C.I.M .
He plays in several groups in Paris and Bordeaux : CBB 47 (jazz Big Band), Jacob de la Fuente (latin jazz octet), Pierrot et les mal lunés (java rock), Jazz à Padam (swing musette).
With Toots thielemans' encouragements and Do Harson's incitement, he decides to produce the album « Mano a Mano » featuring Francis Lockwood trio, Jean-Marc Pierna (percussionist), and a string quartet.
He records at the « Studio Lubans » in December 2001 and in the meantime wins the Trossingen International Harmonica Competition in Germany.

- 2 tours in Belgium, Holland with DOMINIQUE VANTOMME's trio (2002 february and june), Dresde, Courtrais, Bruges, Gent, Anvers, Ostend....
- Record DO HARSON "FANJIRO"'s project ( 2003 december)
- Festivals of BIARRITZ, MONSEGUR, ANDERNOS, LUZ ST SAUVEUR, SALON DE PROVENCE, AIGUILLON, ST REMY DE PROVENCE, VAUREAL, LIMOGES.....
- The adventure continue with DO HARSON and RAUL DE SOUZA who invite him to be solist of a latin jazz big-band (2004 springtime).
- From October 2003 to June 2004 he decides to integrate the "centre des musiques DIDIER LOCKWOOD" which open him the way of composition. Besides he meets there one of the afrocuban's percussion master : ORLANDO POLEO who invites him to play in several great french jazz clubs in Paris (CHINA CLUB, DUC DES LOMBARDS...) and propose him to record on his upcoming album (predicted end 2004).
- Coincidently, the band LUJAN EVOLUTION (ex JAZZ A PANAME) records an album from May to October (Thierry Lujan original compositions).
- In November 2004 with YVES CARBONNE he records a duet album (compositions of both musicians and jazz standards).
- An "electro-jazz" album is preparing...as well as another album withFRANCIS LOCKWOOD (2005).
